I received a comment yesterday about the price of the fuel that Jim and Linda bought for me the other day. Well, yes, it was high, but you must remember that we are out along the coast on US 101, and the stations where you can buy diesel fuel are not very plentiful. Plus, this is a "tourist" area, so that also adds to the price.

Even if you don't buy fuel at one of the Truck Stops listed, you can still get an idea of what the cost will be in the state or area that you will be passing through.
Jim and Linda actually paid around 20 or 30 cents more per gallon than it would have been inland, but like I said, "along the coast" and "in a tourist area", so what you gonna do?
Since we've been here, Jim and Linda have gone to the post office and picked up their mail and have taken their prescriptions into Walgreen's to have them refilled. The prescriptions should be ready today, so if the weather clears a little this afternoon, they'll head back to pick them up.
It rained most of the day yesterday. Not hard, but just light rain most of the time.
What happens today will depend a lot on the weather. There are some things that Jim and Linda want to see and do, but if it's raining, I doubt if they'll go. The weather forecast for tomorrow and the next 5 days is much better, so I'm thinking we'll probably stay a few more days.

ReplyDeleteMy comment yesterday was intended as a "it should get a little better in Oregon" type of a thought. We tend to use Gas Buddy dot com in order to find out the fuel prices for both diesel and gasoline. We even have the GasBuddy app on our android smart phone. On there, it checks where you are based on the cell tower that you are using and reports stations local for you right now. That's kind of nice. California has always had the highest prices in the US except for Alaska and Hawaii, and I haven't driven the motorhome to either of those states, LOL.
