That One Last Present

Not much going on the last few days. Linda's been busy wrapping presents, Jim's been working on trip plans, surfing the Internet, talking to the neighbors and rearranging some of the stuff in my basement. (I've got a feeling that he'll be working on that basement stuff for a long time yet) ; )

Laura and Ashley stopped by for a couple hours Thursday and Laura stopped by again yesterday for a few minutes on her way to the grocery store.

Yesterday evening, on their way to go out to eat, Jim and Linda stopped by K-Mart to get that one last present that always seems to have been forgotten. : (   (Linda says that she doesn't understand how she could have forgotten to by a present for this person, but she did.)

Anyway, their plan was to stop by K-Mart and then go to the Perkins restaurant for dinner. Well, when they got to Perkins, the place was packed, so they went to Bob Evans instead, and had a very nice meal there.

No big plans for the next few days. Linda almost has all the presents wrapped so getting boxes and getting the presents shipped will be the next big project.

Did you know that on this date in 1845 British civil engineer Robert Thompson patented the first pneumatic tires?
