Not What They Needed

South Range, WI.

65 deg. partly cloudy SW wind @ 6 mph.

Forecast = Partly cloudy. Scattered showers and thunderstorms early in the morning...Then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the late morning and afternoon. Highs 88 to 93 inland...And 82 to 87 near lake superior. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.

We had a heavy T-storm go through here yesterday evening and that's definitely not what they need in this area. I don't know how much it rained, but it rained really hard for about an hour and then continued on for a good part of the night, many times with strong winds and lots of lightning.

This morning they're reporting quite a bit of wind damage in the area, and with everything saturated, like it is from the past heavy rains, they've issued new flood warnings for parts of the area.

Jim and Linda went back to the grocery store yesterday. They bought quite a bit of stuff, but not enough that they had any problems getting it all put away. ; )

Linda's been doing laundry and Jim has been starting to get me ready to travel. Yesterday he checked my fluid levels and I imagine today he'll check my and CLT's (Cute Little Truck's) tires. He also needs to call their mail forwarding service and have their mail sent up to Michigan and Linda said that she needs to call the bank to take care of some business.

Did you know that Calvin Coolidge, our nation's 30th president, was born on July 4th, 1872? He is the only president to claim this honor.
