Happy Independence Day!!!!!  I hope all of you have a fun, safe holiday!!!

Yesterday, it was the hottest that it's been since we've been here. My thermometer on the North side of me read 92 degrees at one time. : (  That's really hot for this part of the country and it was the main topic on the news last night.

Being that it was so warm, very few people were out and about here at the park. There were a few over at the pool, but even they didn't stay too long. Jim was outside for awhile in the morning, but stayed in all afternoon and evening.

He and Linda did go to a restaurant that they spotted the other day though. It's called The Breakwater Family Restaurant, and located just a little way into Superior as you enter on US 2. Linda had a BLT sandwich and Jim had the meat loaf dinner. Both of them said that the food was very good and the service was excellent.

A place worth remembering if we come back to this area again sometime.

I think I'm pretty much ready to leave here tomorrow. Both Jim and Linda have been slowly getting everything put away and checked out. My tanks still need to be dumped, but that will be done just before we leave so that they're empty when we get to the park in Michigan.

Did you know that the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council state that over 150 million hot dogs are consumed during Independence Day festivities?

  1. Emrys, tell Jim and Linda to remember that we're in Petoskey, Michigan in case they decide to head this way. Happy Fourth to you all.
